About Grand Lodge Gardens Tour
Tour meets outside on the front lodge steps.
If
you, like Head Gardener Liz Dickinson, played on the wide open acreage of the
Grand Lodge when you were a kid, you will be amazed by its transformation. And
if you didn't, you'll be floored by its beauty.
Grand
Lodge Garden Tours begin with a little history: check out photos of where this
century-old manor began and listen as Liz explains its evolution. You'll follow
paths through perennials, past thick-trunked redwoods, and meander through the
vegetable garden with a sneak peek in the greenhouse. A trip out to the
sometimes-pond and along the concert grounds under a canopy of trees makes a
delightful and informative walk as she explains the gardeners' work and future
projects.
This event will take place rain or shine and may require long periods of standing and walking on uneven ground.
