McMenamins Donation Program

Our pubs, hotels and theaters are committed to and active proponents of the well-being of our communities. In striving to keep our neighborhoods vital, we target opportunities that bring our properties, employees and charities together.

Who McMenamins supports:
We focus contributions in the following areas within our local communities:

  • Education
  • Human support services
  • Community development
At this time, we:
  • Do not donate for the purpose of third-party giving (i.e., to an organization doing a fundraiser for another organization).
  • Do not purchase tables or tickets for charitable events, nor do we donate cash.
  • Do not sponsor teams or organizations.
  • Do not donate to or support any political party or candidate or projects of a political nature.
  • Do not donate to or fund capital campaigns or employee charitable giving funds.
  • Do not donate gift cards to the employees or volunteers of an organization or charity.
  • Do not donate to cover travel expenses or to fund individual causes.
Other considerations:
  • In order to keep our donations within our local communities, national and international organizations are not given a high priority.
  • We prefer to disperse our donations to as many local schools and charities as possible, rather than donate a large percentage to a single organization.
 Requests will be responded to 3 weeks prior to the procurement/catalog date.

Friends & Family Nights - Applications closed for 2025

Thank you for your interest in our Friends & Family Nights program. On Friends & Family Nights McMenamins donates 50% of one pub’s evening sales to the designated organization. As a company that prides itself on working with and being a part of the community, we receive hundreds of requests for Friends and Family nights, so we are not able to accept them all.

The request period for 2026 will open on August 1, 2025. Requests will be received between August 1, 2025, through October 31, 2025. After October 31, 2025, requests will be forwarded to the manager of the requested property. All requests will be reviewed and responded to by January 15, 2025.

  • McMenamins donates 50% of one pub’s night’s sales to the designated organization.
  • Dine-in sales only.
  • The location is based on proximity; the event is held at the nearest pub.
  • Events take place on Monday or Tuesday evenings, 5pm-close, during fall, winter or spring.
  • These events cannot be auctioned off to a third party.

Gift Card Donations

McMenamins donates gift cards to qualifying organizations, and cards can then be used as items in a fundraiser, auction and/or raffle. The McMenamins Gift Card is redeemable at any
McMenamins location, and may be used toward food, beverages, overnight stays, spa treatments and more.

How to submit a request:

For gift card donations only, please fill out our Gift Card Donation Form.

Gift Card Discounts

If you're looking to buy $1000 or more in gift cards, please visit our Bulk Gift Card Buying page to take advantage of discounts!

McMenamins offers discounts on bulk orders of gift cards as well as those purchased by schools. These orders may be purchased by credit card or check in person. To make a bulk gift card order, call our Headquarters Office at (503) 223-0109. Established corporations, non-profits and schools may make alternate payment arrangements.

Bulk Gift Card Discounts
Bulk discounts are available on quantities of cards purchased at the same time.

  • $500-$999 worth of gift cards receives a 5% discount
  • $1000 or more worth of gift cards receives a 10% discount

School Discount Program
Schools receive a 15% discount on gift cards, with no minimum order amount required.

Event Space Donations

McMenamins donates private event space to eligible group or organization. Space is only available midweek during the day (Monday through Friday, 8 am - 5 pm).

An approved group will receive:

  • Waived room rental fees
  • A 15% discount on food and beverages

How to submit a request:

Those wishing to be considered for an event space donation must submit a request via email to sales@mcmenamins.com. The message must include your name and affiliation, what date or dates you are interested in and the donation requested.
