This year's Holiday Party will also be a celebration of the 20th anniversary of the South Sound Blues Association. To honor this occasion, the event will begin with an All-Star jam featuring musicians who have played a significant role in the South Sound blues scene over the past two decades. It will be an exciting opportunity to hear many of the area's leading musicians, most of whom front their own bands, spontaneously making music together.
Since their founding in 2006 in Walla Walla, WA, the Coyote Kings have been performing and recording, winning awards, collecting rave reviews, and playing to enthusiastic audiences and devoted fans. They've appeared at all the major northwest blues festivals and won awards from the Inland Empire Blues Association for Best Band, Best CD, and Best Guitarist (Robin Barrett). Vocalist Tiphony Dames, originally from Harlem, New York, began performing with the band in 2015, and in 2017 they backyed her on her self-titled CD release. She then sang on the Coyote King's 2019 release, "Rocket" and is featured on their most recent release, "Hot Mess." Together, Coyote Kings w/Tiphony Dame light up stages all across the northwest with Tiphony's infectious energy and Robin Barrett's sizzling guitar playing.
