About Eldridge Gravy & The Court Supreme

Eldridge Gravy & The Court Supreme

ELDRIDGE GRAVY & THE COURT SUPREME is a funk juggernaut. Backed by the hot, gritty orchestration of the 13 member Court Supreme, front man Eldridge Gravy easily works dance floors to a fever pitch with his full-bore performance and smooth rapport with the audience. Over the past 16 years, EG&tCS have headlined practically every prestigious venue in Seattle and Portland, including Crocodile, Neumos, Tractor Tavern, Showbox, Doug Fir Lounge, and Star Theater. They have also ruthlessly funked thousands of festivalgoers at Bumbershoot, the Waterfront Blues Festival in Portland, and July 4th at Gasworks Park.

About Playtonics

Playtonics

The 5 piece jazzy soul pop band "Playtonics" that was born in 2018 has blossomed 5 years later into a sometimes 8 or 9 piece jazzy jam band with a horn section! They are friends who unpack universal thoughts of love & life in their music and share an appreciation of jazz and funk. It's jazzy soul pop with groove and fun folks.

Paige Hansen (keys/lead vocals,) Tom Hume (dPlaytonics is a band with a range of influences which is wider than most since we're composed of three different generations of serious musicians. Denny Foreman (our English graduate) is from the ‘Me' generation and brings a 70s sensibility & love of language to the songs, while Paige Hansen (jazz DJ at KNKX) hails from the singer-songwriter 90s era & has a devotion to pointed lyrics and dissonance. Brady McCowan (our music major, music director and virtuoso) has emo & indie influences which strike a stark contrast with his love of woodwinds & jazz. Add top notch jazz drummer Tom Hume & punk rocker bassist Stephanie Jones & you have the final ingredients of technique & emotional push.rums/vocals,) Denny Foreman (guitar/vocals,) Brady McCowan (sax/vocals/music direction,) Danielle Westbrook (trumpet/vocals,) Stephanie Jones (bass/vocals,) Ashish Meloottu (trombone/percussion,) Maureese Itson (sax,) D'Vonne Lewis (drums,) Jade Monroe (backing vocals/percussion) and John Studamire pitch into the thrilling mayhem that is Playtonics.
