6 Barrel Brewhouse
Established: November 2004
2016 Brewery Production: 1,131 barrels • 2,262 kegs • 280,538 pints
The onsite brewery opened as part of the rejuvenated Old St. Francis School in 2004. Once the basement lunchroom of the former Catholic school, the area has been transformed to facilitate the creation of the handcrafted ales that St. Francis' patrons have come to know and admire. The brewery's fermentation tanks are decorated with fantastical designs of mystical creatures and fairy-like imps.
The seasonal limited-edition beer tastings, dubbed O'Kanes Garage Series, feature different unique beers of the past, created by other McMenamins Brewers. Held in O'Kanes Pub on the fourth Friday of varied months, these events have become the stuff of local legend. Beer, fun, fires and cigars. Who'd have thunk?
Local company Wanderlust Tours recently added Old St. Francis to their Bend Brew Bus! Guests board the bus, travel to different breweries for insiders' tours and enjoy tasty beer along the way.
