Loyal Order of the Slumbering Bed Heads

FAQ's
[Trumpets trumpeting, flags unfurling…]

It is hereby proclaimed that on this date, Wednesday, 29 June 2022, all “Frequent Guests” and Cosmic Tripsters will use a single system for McMenamins hotel points henceforth to be called the “Loyal Order of the Slumbering Bed Heads.”

FAQs about the change from Frequent Guest to Bed Head

I was a Frequent Guest Member, do I need to sign up as a Bed Head member?

A: Nope! We have just changed the name. Login here.

I am a Frequent Guest only (not a Cosmic Tripster). How does this affect my account/points?

A: Your points are not affected; all points Have automatically transfered into the Bed Head system. All you need to do is book your rooms online to continue using and earning points.

  • If you stayed or cancelled a reservation between December 10, 2021 and February 1, 2022, check your account to be sure your points are accurate. Email us at loyalty@mcmenamins.com if there are discrepancies.
  • Be sure to stick with ONE email/username/password combo in order to view your points in one place under a single profile.

I am a Cosmic Tripster but not a Frequent Guest. How does this affect my points?

A: Welcome! Your remaining Tripster points have been converted to Bed Head points. They are still accessible through the Tripster portal, and you will earn points for non-Tripster night stays as long as they are also booked via your portal login.

I am a Cosmic Tripster and a Frequent Guest. How does this affect my points?

A: Congrats!  Your Tripster and Frequent Guest points will be added together into one point total in the Loyal Order of Slumbering Bed Heads. You may view them by logging in via the Tripster portal, where you'll find a section titled Bed Head Points, or by logging in directly to your Bed Head account (formerly known as Frequent Guest).

  • If you made or cancelled a reservation between December 10, 2021 and February 1, 2022, check your account to be sure your points are accurate. Email us at loyalty@mcmenamins.com if there are discrepancies.
  • Be sure to stick with ONE email/username/password combo in order to view your points in one place under a single profile.

I know I have points, but I don’t see them!

A: You probably have multiple profiles. Points are associated with the profile under which you booked your stay, so if you used more than one email/username/password or did not login at time of booking, your points may show up under multiple profiles.? In order to view points, you need to be logged into your profile at time of booking. See below on how to combine profiles into one.

What is a profile? How do I know if I have more than one?

A: A profile is the information associated with each reservation you make. Have you ever made a hotel reservation using a different email or username/password combo? Have you changed your name? You may have more than one profile! You still have points accumulating, but they are not all in one “basket.” Email us to combine profiles into one, and be sure to stick with ONE email/username/password combo in the future in order to view your points under a single profile.

Why does it matter if I have multiple profiles?

A: Each profile is associated with the actions you took under that profile, like accumulating points for a stay, so if you have more than one, you may not see accurate point totals, so it’ll be trickier to redeem a free night.

How can I merge my profiles into one?

A: Email us at loyalty@mcmenamins.com. Include name, phone number, email adress and dates/locations of stays missing from primary profile in your message, and we will combine all previous profiles into one. Be sure to keep track of your email/username/password so you can always log in to your single profile in the future.

My partner and I share a Frequent Guest account with one username/password. How will it be affected?

A: As long as you both use the same email/username/password combo each time you log in, your account will still work, and all your points accumulate within the Loyal Order of the Slumbering Bed Heads. You must always book your stays using this account in order to accumulate and use points. Be sure to stick with ONE email/username/password combo.

Can I merge my profile with my partner now? It’d be so much easier!

A: Sorry, there is only one name per profile under the Bed Head system.

How do I earn points through Bed Heads? How do I use my points toward a new stay?

A. Book all your stays through our website. Easy peasy! When you have enough points to redeem, and there is room availability, a rate called “BED HEAD REDEMPTION” will appear under qualifying room types when you select your dates at a specific hotel.

Why is it important to use the same email/login/password combo every time?

A: By logging in with the same info every time, you will keep your history of stays and points in one easy-to-view profile, making it easy to redeem points. Multiple profiles mean that points and history of use show up in multiple places.

When I was a Frequent Guest Member, it took 72 hours for points to be credited to my account; is that still the case?

A: All points will appear in your account within 24 hours of departure.

Does that mean if I have a two-night stay and one night brings me to enough points for a free night, that I can redeem points on the second night?

A: Sorry, no. Points are credited after departure from an entire stay.

When I was a Frequent Guest Member, if I didn’t stay once in a 5-year period, my points were forfeited. Is that still true?

A: Nope! Points will never expire!
