My Weight in Gold Stars is singer-guitarist Brian Maselli's stripped-down sketches of  fleeting joy and  lingering sorrow, of delusions of greatness  and admissions of guilt, of doubt and death, of love and loss, and the fear of the fading  of youth.   It's whispers over whiskey and coffee under cream.  It's ringing ears, stinging tears, and  finally seeing clearly after years. And years. And years.  It's a train sound that wakes  you,  then grows distant and  dim, like voices heard through a ceiling  or wall.  And who can tell if they're calling it quits or falling in love?
