On Friday and Saturday, April 7 & 8, 2017, McMenamins Edgefield Winery will hold its 16th Annual Celebration of Syrah, a two-day revelry of wine, food and fun. The 74-acre Edgefield property will host winemakers from the Pacific Northwest and beyond who will showcase their best Syrahs throughout the weekend. Syrahs are bold inky-colored reds, made from a grape originated in France's Rhone Valley.
It's not all about Syrah; there are other amazing grapes that come from the Rhone region and we will share some of those with you. Join us for a lovely lunch under a canopy of trees in the Little Red Shed Fir Grove (weather permitting), featuring a sumptuous menu indicative of the south of France paired with a flight of traditional Rhone-style wines (such as: Viognier, Syrah, Roussanne, Marsanne, Grenache, etc.) served alongside a five-course menu created by Executive Chef Chris Rattaro.
Featuring the wines of McCrea Cellars, Quady North, Bunnell Family Cellars, Edgefield, Ad Lucem and Pepper Bridge.
