About Kinvara

Traditional Irish Music

Kinvara

Kinvara is a four-person group that took inspiration for it's name from a small Irish town in County Galloway on the west coast of Ireland. Theyhave been working together as a band for over 17 years. Instrumentation includes whistles, fiddle, guitar, mandolin, octave mandolin, the bodhran (Irish drum) and banjo. They play arrangements of traditional sets of jigs and reels and sing several rousing traditional Irish songs. They also enjoy and include some of the newer Irish music that has emerged over the past few years.Band members include Grant Crowley, Sue Davis, Mark Masterson, and Dennis O'Malley. All live in NE Portland, Oregon and all are Americans made of some Irish or Welsh parts. They have played at several local pubs and restaurants in their area and have performed at several community functions, private parties, churches, schools, and farmers markets. Recently, they were invited to play their first wake, which they found to be an honor. After over 170 performances and producing two CD's, they now respond with a steady confidence to the request "play something you know".

About The Wules

The Wules

The Wules are an American old-time string duo based in Portland, Oregon. You'll hear danceable fiddle tunes and lilting ballads, romping ragtime and songs about trains as they trade instruments and harmonies. Brought up in the old-time fiddle tradition of Northern Washington, Micheel Cullinan brings a vivacity to his fiddle playing that will leave you wanting more. Christina Osborn hails from the mountains of Utah, where she started her musical journey as a solo songwriter drawing on the Americana genre.

What is a Wule, one might ask? They are ethereal beings from outer space who thrive on a diet of pizza cheese and the dreams of artists. The Wules named themselves after this race of celestial mammals in homage of the great impact their fluffy magic has had on their sound. Always remember to follow The Wules!

About Band of Comerados

Feel Good Acoustic Jams

Band of Comerados

Since 2015 and extending far into the future, Band of Comerados plays music that makes you feel good. Call it bluegrass, jamgrass, folk, or indie, what sets the band apart is their intricate instrumentation, dual vocal parts, intense improvisational jams, and the fact that these guys have so much damn fun when they're playing live music!

From their inception around campfire jams, Band of Comerados has come a long way. Earning their stripes at dive bars, breweries, block parties, and house concerts in their hometown of Portland, Oregon, the band began to get a foothold in some of the city's finest venues, like Laurelthirst, White Eagle, Goodfoot, Aladdin Theatre, Wonder Ballroom, Mississippi Studios and more. Expanding their fanbase, they traveled up and down the west coast from Southern California to Northern Washington, and east through Idaho, Utah, and Arizona. Festival appearances include What the Festival!?, Beltane Music Festival, 4 Peaks Music Festival, Northwest String Summit, Gem & Jam, and more.

In 2020, Band of Comerados released their most polished studio album to date, a work entitled "Kindsight." Recorded at the end of 2019 and containing 7 original, road-tested tunes, "Kindsight" showcases the improvisational spontaneity of a live show while maintaining tight, energetic arrangements of catchy, grassy songs. "Kindsight" follows previous releases "Trial & Error" (2019) and "Tomorrow is Today" (2017).
