Dãvin Michael Stedman is the founder and front man of the Seattle band, The Staxx Brothers. He recently launched a solo career simply known as Dãvin, that began with an extraordinary twist of fate.

Dãvin found himself in Sly & Robbie's studio his first day in Kingston, Jamaica where the Godfathers of Dancehall asked him to play a song. He picked up his guitar and Sly & Robbie and Anthony Red Rose said they heard a hit. "Free Your Mind" was born and was followed by an entire debut solo album of collaborations with the greatest studio musicians on the island, who kept hearing singles.

And as they say, the future was wide open.

The album, WEST INDIAN ROCK is slated for release in November 2022, with distribution by Tuff Gong International. The record is exclusively and privately available for Dãvin's Patreons (Patreon.com/davinmichaelstedman).

Dãvin continues to book shows and record with The Staxx Brothers. Their most recent single "Natural" features acclaimed guitarist and long time pal Jimmy James (The True Loves, Delvon Lamar Trio). The Staxx Brothers 5th album, WHEN THE STREETS WERE GOLD is coming out in 2023.
