About Cornelius Pass Roadhouse

Former farmstead wonderland

Rooted in the former pioneer farming mecca, our Hillsboro pub is now in a high-tech haven of Hillsboro where a six-acre farmstead is today a colorful oasis with buildings and barns that date to the mid-1850s.

Here you'll also find one of McMenamins' top-producing breweries, and the modern-day Imbrie Hall Pub (built from the timbers of Portland's historic Henry Weinhards brewery). You may also enjoy the cozy wee bar known as the Little White Shed, along with plenty of outdoor summer seating.

Cornelius Pass Roadhouse allows pets at designated outdoor areas only.

History

The wildlife at Cornelius Pass Roadhouse was once as common as the rain. Fox, deer, elk, and weasels all wandered the cultivated fields and apple orchards. Pheasants were easily spotted in the daylight; owls were abundant at night. This was when Sunset Highway was new and in a half-hour spent waiting for the school bus, you could count on one hand the number of cars that came along the Highway and the Pass Road...

Read about the pioneering Imbrie family, among the area's first settlers.

Built just a few short years ago in 2001, Imbrie Hall nevertheless holds stories within its walls.

Meet the "Crowlers"

It's a can...It's a growler...No, it's a Crowler®!

The Crowler® is a one-use, recyclable 32 oz. can that's filled and seamed right at the bar. As an alternative to a growler, it’s light, portable and keeps the beer fresher longer.

We purge the cans with CO2 before filling them, so no beer-degrading oxygen is added to the beer. The Crowler® is then filled immediately. The lid is applied and sealed under pressure. A Crowler® can keep beer or cider fresh and shelf stable for up to six months. Let us know what you’d like, and we’ll fill one for you, to go!

Crowler Prices:
McMenamins Ales $8
High Gravity Ales $9
Brewmaster's Reserve Ales $11.50
Edgefield Ciders $9.80
Cidermaker's Reserve Ciders $14.80
Guest Beer & Cider on Draft Price will vary
