About Greenway Pub

Greenway Pub takes reservations for parties of 6 or more. Give us a call! (503) 590-1865

Over 40 years, 33 taps and one helluva good time

The Greenway opened as our second pub back in 1983. Since then, we've added a few things – outdoor dining, jukebox, pool tables, shuffleboard, wifi – but one thing that hasn’t changed is the fish tank. Here since the beginning, it still thrives today filled with colorful saltwater beauties.

In 1983 the Guinness Book of World Records listed the largest bar in the world as having 27 taps; the little Greenway Pub in burgeoning Tigard boasted 33. And two years after opening, Mike & Brian McMenamin, Art Larrance, Fred Bowman, the Widmers, the Ponzis, and a host of others managed to convince Oregon legislators to pass the Brewpub Bill. Since that glorious day, many of Greenway Pub’s taps have flowed with McMenamins handcrafted beers.

Head to Tigard to taste for yourself!

Greenway Pub allows pets on our front patio.

We offer Northwest-style pub fare that incorporates the freshest seasonal ingredients from local and regional growers and producers. Our pizza, soups and more are house-made, and seasonal specials are always a menu option - ask your server for details.

Gluten-free buns available! These light, crisp, locally made products are available for an additional charge with hamburgers and sandwiches – just ask your server. Please note: Although the bun is gluten-free, our kitchens are not.

History

The Greenway Pub is a favorite stopping point on busy Scholls Ferry Road, but for most of its life this spot 8 miles west of Portland has had a relatively sleepy history. Long before becoming a pioneer McMenamins establishment, this site was part of the original land claim of another Oregon pioneer, Thomas McKay. McKay, with his wife Margaret, traveled overland to the Northwest in August 1852....
