About Wildwood Screening and Crows Artist Panel

Wildwood Screening and Crows Artist Panel

Come see Wildwood and support OHSU Doernbecher Children's Hospital while you do it. Your ticket includes the movie ticket, and the remaining amount will go directly to OHSU Doernbecher.

Following the movie a panel of artists who painted the crows for the Follow the Crows art trail around Portland will discuss the process and answer questions from the audience about the crows (they cannot answer specific questions about the movie).

Artists include Mike Bennett, Celeste Potgieter, Matthew Jones, Freaky Footwear, and Lizzie Keenan. Most other artists will also be in attendance and will head over to the Back Stage Bar after the event to mingle over cocktails to discuss the movie and the crows for a casual after-party.

About Celeste Potgieter

Celeste Potgieter

Celeste Potgieter's primary medium is oil on canvas, utilizing a palette knife technique that she has refined over the past forty years. She finds great satisfaction in pushing the boundaries of this tool, as it challenges her to explore new concepts and continuously evolve as an artist. For her, the act of painting is a deeply personal exploration. Her focus is not on public reception or external societal commentary, but rather on the internal experience and the discipline required to live through her art. Each piece represents a commitment to questioning her own creative limits and embracing the various challenges inherent in the process.

About Lizzie Keenan

Lizzie Keenan

Lizzie Keenan is a watercolor artist, travel enthusiast, and unapologetic admirer of birds. She is the Portland based artist behind Originalizzie, sharing work at local galleries, craft fairs, and the occasional Tomato Art Festival. Working primarily in watercolor (but regularly dabbling in all paint/craft art forms), Lizzie creates expressive, colorful work inspired by nature, birds, and lots of cute animal butts. Her process embraces the unpredictability of watercolor, and allows the characters of her paintings to shine through with the addition of a smirk or an extra glint of what in their eye. Her work reflects a curiosity about the landscapes we move through, the animals and birds we share them with, and the stories they hold.
