Allison Preisinger
Allison Preisinger is a Tacoma-based singer-songwriter and Berklee College of Music graduate known for her evocative, Americana-infused sound, which recalls a mix between Joni Mitchell and Alanis Morissette. With three albums already released- "Moving On, Moving Forward" (2006), "Be Heard" (2012), and "Jade" (2016)-Allison is set to release her fourth album, "Standing Steady", in 2025. This new project is a deeply personal exploration of stillness and simplicity, blending her music with poetry from many different poets. The process of creating "Standing Steady" has been a therapeutic journey for Allison, helping her navigate creative struggles and emerge with a sound that invites others to feel heard.
Allison's music has resonated deeply within the Pacific Northwest music scene, with her heartfelt performances earning her a loyal following at local festivals like Northwest Folklife, concert venues, and intimate events. She is also known for her unique collaborations, including her recent work on an album produced by The National Park Service, where she contributed to a song honoring Olympic National Park. A multi-instrumentalist with a passion for connection, Allison continues to use her art to uplift and share the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
