About Science Pub: Are We Alone in the Galaxy?

Science Pub: Are We Alone in the Galaxy?

A lecture on the question of life beyond Earth and Fermi's paradox

The discovery of thousands of exoplanets in orbit around nearby star systems has reopened an old question for stellar astronomy: Do any of those star systems contain habitable planets, and do any of those planets contain civilizations? Known as Fermi's paradox, its solution is relevant to the very survival of our own planet.

Science Pubs are a casual lecture series located in fun venues across the region, recommended for ages 10 and over.
