Jake McVay: Rock, Pop, Country-rock, Gospel, indie, folk... it would be hard to assign one genre to Jake's style of music. After 15 years of fronting the Tacoma based rock band, The Reaching, he is enjoying writing new material for a solo project while also playing solo gigs... and he is always excited to bring in some of his favorite artists to play in a rotating band for live concerts with him as those opportunities arise

Soulfunktion is a 7-piece, flavorful dance band that plays a fun mix of hand-picked & crowd-pleasing classic & contemporary tunes that cover many different genres from Soul to Pop, Disco & Funk, to R&B, allowing them to appeal to a wide audience of people! Fronted by local powerhouse Jody Ellen, Soulfunktion soulfully plays all those funky tunes that guarantee to get the crowd movin' and groovin'. No two shows are the same, and we always aim to leave the crowd chanting "ONE MORE SONG!"

Jamie Todd Philip hails from Puyallup, WA. Having studied choral music education at Pacific Lutheran University (PLU), Jamie began writing music for his college band sOnkist. After college, Jamie continued to hone his songwriting craft, collaborating with other local talent. Starbucks, Borders, Cutter's Point, Shakabrah Java were some of the more frequent venues Jamie played. Dashboard Confessional, Death Cab for Cutie, Derek Webb, and Jars of Clay are some of the more significant influences evident in his songwriting.
