Kory Quinn

Kory Quinn

Like the steady pendulum of a land oil rig, Americana songwriter Kory Quinn has tapped inspiration-and greater purpose-with his new EP, Black Gold Blues. Sharp and critical, Black Gold Blues swings between misery and pride of the working class. He explores the complex relationships inherent in the immorality of modern capitalism and the individual purpose found in the work. With uncanny awareness he understands the exact point where two disparate paradigms collide.

Black Gold Blues bobs between the melancholy and the irrepressibility of humanity in the face of widespread corruption and exploitation, and the greater implications of society's current reliance on oil and fossil fuels, corrupt political leaders, and fear. But even as it tackles such heaviness, it's music is boisterous and driving, a perfect rallying call for humanity from the heart of a working man

Anna Hoone

Anna Hoone

Anna Hoone is a songsmith, singer, and revelator. Rooted in old-time gospel, country, and folk traditions, Anna's classic Americana is influenced by the staggering beauty of the landscape around her and a certain ever-present longing for home and companionship.

Her stark, straightforward lyrics reflect universal truths about the hardships and trials we all face. Her precise delivery shoots like an arrow straight to the heart. Anna's voice is soft and lilting, with an edge that comes from having lived the words she sings.

Anna grew up in rural southern Oregon, and has called Kentucky and Montana home at one point or another. She has studied music in Senegal and Austria, and discovered that no matter where you go, the truth of the song is what matters most.

Currently based out of Portland, OR, Anna lives in a tiny trailer where most of these songs are crafted. When not making music, Anna is a hermit and a homebody who loves to knit, cook, and garden.

Tara Velarde

Tara Velarde

Raised in the sleepy farmland outside of the nation's self-proclaimed weirdest city, Tara Velarde is a captivating combination of class and sass. Imagine Regina Spektor's spunk and Brandi Carlile's energy juxtaposed against Joni Mitchell's serenity, and you start to get the idea of this dynamic artist and her unique Diva Folk style.

Deena Drewis (Sacramento News and Review) states that the "cherubic vocals of frontwoman Tara Velarde will strike a chord with fans of Sara Bareilles and Ingrid Michaelson", and Kelsey Anne Rankin (Eugene Weekly) says that Velarde "Fuses a mixture of blunt and angelic vocals to express lyrics that sound like a soul put to melody." These poetic lyrics are introspective, sharp-witted, and often profound, sharing stories of life and revelations that captivate listeners and invite them on the journey.

With the release of "The Tara Novellas" (2014) , "Get Out and Walk" (2016), and her most recent single "Willow Baby" (2017), Velarde and her band have played extensively around their native Portland, OR and toured throughout the Western US and Canada. Velarde has appeared on radio, TV, and at numerous festivals and fairs, sharing her passion for music wherever it can be heard.
