About Pinniped

Pinniped

Puget Sound based Pinniped plays tunes flowing from the fiddle tradition with old and new pieces from Ireland, Quebec, and even farther afield.

----

Pinniped is Erik Correia (guitar, voice), Sarah Kellington (fiddle, voice), and Bill Kellington (bodhran, guitar, voice). This Puget Sound based trio plays old and new pieces from the fiddle tradition.

----

Sarah Kellington, Bill Kellington, and Erik Correia love the wild variety of traditional music and the friendly society of a public house. Sarah grew up listening to her dad Bill play Irish music... on the radio. She started fiddle as a kid, and bought Bill his first bodhran (eventually he was allowed to play it indoors). Erik, originally from the east coast, got his start playing rock, jazz, and Indian classical music. As Pinniped, they've been entertaining audiences in the South Sound for over a decade. Pinniped performs some pieces in a traditional style and brings their own twist to others.  From sweet and elegant to raging fast, their performances are filled with energy and fun.
