About Mark MacMinn

Mark MacMinn

Mark MacMinn is a songwriter, a performer, recording artist, and producer whose music is a blend of Americana, alternative, and folk. Learning guitar at a young age and spending recent years immersed in piano, he’s a multi-instrumentalist driven by a love to create sound. A student of musical production, engineering and mixing, he is a songwriter embedded with music from the first lyric to the final master.

A survivor of substance abuse with stories etched deep into his voice, Mark’s songs explore love, heartbreak, recovery, and resilience. His lyrics are vivid and unflinching, often carried by fingerpicked melodies and a vocal tone that resonates with raw clarity and depth.

Having lived and worked in the music-rich communities of Austin, Los Angeles, Nashville, and now Portland, MacMinn has been shaped by each city's influence while staying true to his own vision. His performance history spans from dive bars and gymnasiums to auditoriums and stages shared with renowned artists.

As an Echo-Fund grant recipient in Oregon (2025) and a self administering publisher, he continues to grow—producing full-length records, EPs, and syncable playlists while staying grounded in the belief that great songs aren’t fabricated. Mark MacMinn is a songwriter, hung up on the sound.
