About Broom Closet

Not everything is as it seems. Sometimes broom closets are broom closets and sometimes…they’re not. When you see a door marked “broom closet,” we give you permission to investigate. You may just find the drink or bite you were looking for – and no need to worry about crumbs.

Once inside, take note of the five-panel painting by artist Andy Eccleshall. It’s his tribute to the late Jim Boyer, a longtime Portland musician and member of a McMenamins' favorite, the Freak Mountain Ramblers. Boyer is depicted in the center and his lyrics live on, woven throughout the panels.
