Wassail is an early-English toast to good health often associated with plentiful alcohol and lively celebration. In our case, it also means a cider party! Come taste with Northwest cider houses, including our own from Edgefield. Enjoy live music, folk dancing, costume contest and a ceremonial wassail toast!
The purpose of wassailing is to awake the cider apple trees and to scare away evil spirits to ensure a good harvest. Wear a costume of bright colors with medieval flair.
