Formed in 2017, The Light Fantastic is a Portland, Oregon based instrumental quartet offering a hip-shaking, orchestrated and eclectic mix of 50-70's jazz-funk inspired psychedelic rockin' and groovin' tunes, from deep-cut arrangements to smokin' originals.

The Light Fantastic delivers a polished, high-energy live set that blends tight musicianship with an unmistakable sense of atmosphere. Their sound moves confidently between groove-driven rhythms, layered textures, and sharp, memorable hooks-built to land just as well on a packed dance floor as it does in a focused listening room. Days Between isn't just about Jerry Garcia's birthday – though we do love celebrating birthdays! Instead, it's a 9-day tribute to his entire life. It starts on his birthday, ends on the anniversary of his death, and covers alllllll the days in between the two. Thus, "Days Between." Also, it's a Grateful Dead song. Of course it is.
