Little Moon
Little Moon is the freak-folk/art-pop project of singer and composer Emma Hardyman. With a soaring vocal range spanning over four octaves, Emma crafts music that moves between restraint and release; building sonic worlds that feel fragile and suddenly immense.
Little Moon's 2020 debut 'Unphased' introduced her singular approach to voice and arrangement with each song built from dark acoustic instrumentation and first-take vocals with Emma holding onto vulnerability before refinement. In 2023, Little Moon won NPR's Tiny Desk Contest with "Wonder Eye," an open-hearted contemplation on faith and mortality that brought national attention through an unflinching intimate performance. Little Moon's 2024 album 'Dear Divine' expanded that vision resulting in a layered work where multi-octave vocals meet baroque-leaning arrangements paired with gauzy electronic textures.
Little Moon's writing is steeped in archetype and mystical symbolism engaging myth as living language. She writes toward transformation and the shadowed places where beauty and grief converge. Onstage, whether solo or with her band, Little Moon creates performances that are immersive and unafraid of depth.
