Swing Proof is your classic swing and jazz jukebox, performing the music of Louis Armstrong, Chet Baker, Ella Fitzgerald, Nat King Cole and more. Featuring the warm sounds of Jeff Chilton's trombone and soulful vocals, Swing Proof is influenced by the great american song book and swing and jazz traditions originating in New Orleans. Chilton studied Jazz and Music Education at Ithaca College in upstate NY. He has performed with Branford Marsalis, Terell Stafford, Le Beouf Brothers, Mike Titlebaum and Greg Evans. After graduating Chilton worked for two years aboard Royal Caribbean Cruise Ships performing with notables such as The Platters, The Las Vegas Tenors, and The Diamonds before moving to Portland in 2016. Currently, he works as a full time musician managing an original music ensemble, maintaining a private trombone studio, and touring nationally in projects such as Bang Bang Expérience, Jay Si Proof and Super Secret Band.
