Blackwater Railroad Company
Blackwater Railroad Company is celebrating
more than 10 years of making music in Alaska. BWRR's high-energy live shows were
born out of wild, blurry, Alaskan winter nights. Through the years, Blackwater
has had the privilege of gaining the love of Alaska and sharing their music all
over the 49th State. Playing on the top of mountains, next to towering
glaciers, and afloat out in the Gulf of Alaska. Performing from Nome to Haines,
Fairbanks to Seward, on the Highway and off, touring most of the lower 48 and the
band's second home of Hawaii.
Their most recent single, "Hurricane" just
released March 28th. Recorded entirely in an off-the-grid wilderness lodge only
accessible by boat, this track's raucous sound is as captivating as its
conception. BWRR's own Braden Astorga-Rollins penned the piece with hopes to
capture the feeling of "loving something, even if its crazy" which might just
encapsulate what keeps the band calling Alaska their home for over a decade!
