About Old Glory Unfolded: A History of the American Flag

Old Glory Unfolded: A History of the American Flag

Chris Garza, director of Troutdale Historical Society, presents the history, symbolism, and evolving meaning of the American flag, from its early origins during the American Revolution to the enduring symbol of the United States we recognize today.

Chris Garca is a longtime collector and restorer of American flags, with more than 35 years of hands-on experience preserving historic examples. The first 50 attendees through the door will receive a free Flag of Honor, courtesy of Gold Star Spouses of America.

These events are open to everyone interested in Pacific Northwest history, and beyond! It's like being back in the classroom - except this time you get to settle into comfortable seats and enjoy a drink or two with dinner while you listen and learn.
