About Science Pub: Fifty Years of Paleontology at John Day

Science Pub: Fifty Years of Paleontology at John Day

A lecture in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the John Day Fossil Beds National Monument

With Nicholas Famoso, PhD, Paleontology Program Manager and Museum Curator at the John Day Fossil Beds National Monument, and Colin Deverell, Acting Northwest Regional Director for the National Parks Conservation Association.

About the Lecture
Bringing one of Oregon's great national parks to you, learn about the incredible paleontological history preserved and studied at John Day Fossil Beds National Monument from its chief paleontologist, Nick Famoso, as the park celebrates its 50th anniversary. In addition, learn from the National Parks Conservation Association about efforts to protect the greater John Day landscape so its remarkable history and natural wonders are preserved for generations to come.

Science Pubs are a casual lecture series located in fun venues across the region, recommended for ages 10 and over.
