Abigail Lapell

Abigail Lapell

Toronto songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Abigail Lapell returns with Anniversary, an evocative collection of original love songs. Produced with Great Lake Swimmers' Tony Dekker, the album was recorded at 200-year-old St Mark's Church in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario. Dekker helped shape the sessions' spooky, resonant sound and also lent his voice to a couple of spellbinding duets.

Sophie Bird

Sophie Bird

Sophie Bird has always been drawn to the art of storytelling, whether through music, words, or the quiet act of observation.

As half of the folk duo Companion, she honed her craft alongside her twin sister, weaving intricate harmonies and soulful narratives rooted in her Oklahoma upbringing.

After years of national touring with her folk heroes, including Andrew Bird, Buck Meek of Big Thief, Tori Amos, and Samantha Crain, Bird continues to evolve, turning every show into something that feels more like a living conversation than just a performance.
