Howard Buckbee is a solo guitarist vocalist that employs a number of different instruments when and if he finds himself in a combo setting such as fiddle, mandolin, harmonica, bass etc.

He is of the 4th of 6 generations of lower Columbia river dwellers, Clark and Cowlitz countys, and has been playing since age 14 when his mother bought him a 10 dollar guitar from Fred Meyers in Hazel Dell.

As a child his early influences were everyone from The Beatles and most 60s rockers and Vietnam era protest/folk artists, that list is extensive, to Delta/Country blues musicians such as Taj Mahal, Lots of Blue Grass and a few old outlaw country pickers. Then there's Bruce Cockburn, Jerry Jeff Walker, Doc Watson. The list goes on...So many influences over the last 50 years.

Having retired from 20 years of commercial salmon fishing, trolling his different boats in Alaska based out of Sitka and in the off time playing gigs around S.E. Alaska with his blues roots buddies he's returned to his natal stream and will be looking to continu
