About Draw a Pint with Blackfish Gallery

Draw a Pint with Blackfish Gallery

Founded in 1979, Blackfish Gallery is the oldest artist-owned and operated gallery west of the Mississippi. Blackfish has a mission to cultivate the work of gallery members and support a diverse and vibrant local cultural landscape. Discover the history of the gallery's early years, see how artists make and market art, and try your hand at "Blackfish Bingo." Join us for a night of creativity and chronicle with a bunch of beer-loving artists.

Kendra Roberts is the director of public engagement for Blackfish Gallery and the founder of Common Ground Arts, an arts consultancy curating visual art in traditional and non-traditional public spaces. Kendra is an award-winning artist and has exhibited her work in the US and internationally.

These events are open to everyone interested in Pacific Northwest history, and beyond! Often co-sponsored by local or state historical and civic organizations, we bring you experts, scholars, first-person experiencers, historians and documentaries expounding on topics from indigenous history to the birth of Portland, early explorers to hop growing, and on and on! It's like being back in the classroom - except this time you get to settle into comfortable seats and enjoy a drink or two with dinner while you listen and learn.
