About Troutdale’s Artistic Legacy

Troutdale’s Artistic Legacy

Join us for a conversation with notable artists from Troutdale and learn about their craft, history, and inspirations. Each artist will also have a sample of their work on display with an opportunity to purchase and take home unique art pieces.

Featured artists

  • Marlena Neilsen is a bronze sculptor who will share the fascinating process behind creating Troutdale's beloved Clara Latourell Larsson statue in Mayor's Square.
  • Dale Larson is a wood turner who will show how a simple felled tree can be transformed into an extraordinary work of art.
  • Loree Harrell, artist and Troutdale Art Center director, will highlight her journey and creations in paint and digital art.
  • Donna Erwin will share her craft of designing and creating incredible frames that elevate both artwork and photography.
  • Lucy Blue, a glassblower from the Gorge Glashaus at Edgefield, will reveal the beauty and process of turning molten glass into art.

These events are open to everyone interested in Pacific Northwest history, and beyond! It's like being back in the classroom - except this time you get to settle into comfortable seats and enjoy a drink or two with dinner while you listen and learn.
