About Moon Music

Moon Music

Moon Music will be celebrating the release of their debut EP, “Sweet Life, beginning Thanksgiving weekend 2023. Moon Music's core is Chelsea Luker on vocals, saxophones and guitar (Mars Retrieval Unit, The Quadraphonnes, JoyTribe) and Dan Duval on guitar and vocals (Ocular Concern, Machete Order, JoyTribe).

Appearing frequently as a duo for intimate performances around the northwest, Moon Music is a quartet in the recording studio and for bigger shows. The band was conceived as a blend of Moonchild, King Crimson, Khruangbin, Alice in Chains, and Soundgarden. The seamless, heady blend of neo-soul, folk-rock, and psychedelic jazz captured on “Sweet Life” brings the listener on a sonic journey to an inviting new dimension. Their music acknowledges the challenges and celebrates the deep rewards of working hard to be happy and finding the courage to take drastic steps when necessary, no matter what controversy may arise.

For their EP release tour, Stephen Pancerev will be joining them on Drums, and John Craig on Bass (Like Years and John Craig and the Weekend).

About Brittany Danielle

Brittany Danielle

Danielle, who has played in popular bands in Seattle like Purr Gato, graced stages like The Tractor Tavern and those abroad in cities as far away as Germany, has worked in children's theater and performed in musicals, too. She's a quilt of experience held with uneasy stitching. At times her songs sound like a stroll down a city street, others like the corners of your consciousness. Standouts include the unburdening, "Hindsight," and sauntering, "Nothing." But don't fret. In the end, of course, she's got the world dancing on a line.
