It's our 102nd birthday so we're honoring this grand old building with fun around the property. Happy birthday, indeed!
Jay Si Proof, or JSP, is the philosophical indie funk vision of multi-instrumentalist composer/arranger Jeff Chilton (Jay Si) whose credits include performing with The Diamonds, The Platters, Broken Social Scene, and recording on over 20 albums by Portland based ensembles. Described as "earth jazz alchemists" by Vortex Magazine, JSP was born in 2019 from the soggy jazz soaked earth of Portland, OR. Since its inception, the band has evolved through adventurous jazz fusion to low-fi jams to a full fledged funk party, all while prioritizing genuine messages of spirituality and human betterment in the midst of endless modern crises. Jay Si is joined by Lucas James (drums and vocals) JD Erickson (sax and flute), and Corey Heppner (guitar).
Moses Barrett leads a dynamic group of musicians based in the Pacific Northwest dedicated to sweet tunes and good times. The eclectic taste of this group ranges from turn of the century Americana to modern Hip Hop, all with a strong emphasis on vocal harmony and fun times having.
Bodhi Mojo is a psychedelic, five-piece jam band rooted in good feels, good grooves, and soulful vocals. Characterized by mind-bending jams and heartfelt songwriting, they never play the same show twice and leave you yearning for more.
Formed in 2019 Bodhi Mojo developed their following by performing at countless DIY festivals and house shows. After honing their sound, the band's following grew to support them in headlining and selling out some of Portland's top jam funk venues including the Goodfoot, The Get Down, and The Haven. Their latest pursuits include releasing a full length album 'Midnight Dojo' in July 2022, touring the PNW from Seattle to San Francisco, and hosting the premiere PNW Jam Band festival "Mojo Family Festival," entering its 3rd year in 2023, playing host to the best up and coming groove bands in the region.
Bodhi Mojo is made up of Jack McGrane on guitar and vocals, Chris Stein on guitar and vocals, Mike Ewers on bass, Harrison Games on drums, and Will Traylor on keys. Bodhi Mojo calls Portland, OR their home.
Inspired by the classic jug bands of the 1920's and 30's, the How Long Jug Band blends kazoos, washboards and
jugs seamlessly with conventional guitars, mandolins and banjos. Since their start in 2010, they've released three
albums, have performed at the National Jug Band Jubilee in Louisville, Kentucky four times and were inducted
into the Jug Band Hall of Fame. While they sometimes slip a modern song into the mix, the How Longs mostly
draw from early blues, ragtime and jazz, digging into obscure songs to find lyrics and arrangements that are too
good to be forgotten.
