About Vursatyl

Vursatyl came to international attention as a member of the Portland, Oregon based Hip Hop group Lifesavas. With the group and as a solo artist, Vursatyl has toured extensively with De La Soul, Talib Kweli, Slum Village and Little Brother to name just a few. As well as collaborating and recording music with George Clinton, Smif-N-Wessun , Digable Planets' lead MC Ishmael, Camp Lo, Dead Prez and most recently Run The Jewels. After honing his craft for over 25 years in the music business VURSATYL is a seasoned veteran in his own right.

With praises from Rolling Stone, XXL, The Source and URB Magazines, an official Vursatyl solo album has been anticipated and eminent. In 2015 Vursatyl released an EP entitled 'Crooked Straights' that Okayplayer called one of the top indie releases of the year. The project led to the 'Crooked Straights Mix' collaboration with Maseo of De La Soul.

Vursatyl has a new full length album on the way produced by S1 aka Symbolic One, Jake One & Nottz. He is currently releasing an onslaught of pace setting singles leading up to the album. 2020 and 2021 promises to be filled with new music and visuals.

About Pricy

Portland rapper Pricy has been a local rap legend for over a decade, only popping up on select guest appearances, burning verses to the ground, and disappearing again until called upon. That was until now - Pricy has finally put together his debut album titled "No Game, No Glory" produced entirely by another Portland legend, TOPE and all we can say is it was worth the wait. Drawing inspiration from some of Rap's most legendary writers and story-tellers including Too Short, Ice-T, Slick Rick, and more - Pricy attacks every track with nothing but originality, providing listeners with clever wordplay, unique metaphors, and a story to every song on this album. "No Game, No Glory" takes listeners on a ride from start to finish allowing insight into who Pricy is as an artist and a person as he opens up on songs like "Pretty Tony" addressing the passing of his father Anthony Jackson, meanwhile painting vivid scenes of his life on "Street Lights" and "Talk Nice." Pricy even takes time to show respect to Portland landmarks including "Council Crest" and "KBOO" (co-produced by Zach Striar). Recorded entirely in Oakland, CA "No Game, No Glory" gives us the feel of a West Coast classic album with only one listen, including theatrical skits and top-notch production from beginning to end. On "Funny Words" Pricy pens a cautionary tale of falling in love before being able to trust your partner and where the downfalls of lust can take you. With a sound that is truly bigger than one city or region, Pricy still takes time to show love to his hometown, Portland - especially in the Official Music Video for "Street Lights" filmed in Downtown Portland.

Soulful Hip-hop

Vursatyl is an MC, singer/songwriter, best known for being a frontman for the Portland, Oregon-based Hip Hop group, Lifesavas. His lyrics are smart, sharp and delivered with a complexity in flow that would make even Charlie Parker proud to know him, all without losing any accessibility. Unlike many of his contemporaries, Vursatyl can also sing, direct a full band, and construct vocal harmonies of an extraordinary and unique nature. A perfect example of this appears on his classic hit, HelloHiHey from Lifesavas' album, Spirit in Stone, where all vocals were performed and conceived by Vursatyl.

All singing aside, he's widely known as one of the best MC's in independent Hip Hop and has toured internationally with De La Soul, Talib Kweli, Pharoahe Monch, DJ Shadow, Blackalicious, The Coup, and Lyrics Born and has been specially featured on music with Smif-n-Wesson, Dead Prez, Camp Lo, Galactic, Blackalicious, Fishbone, Gift of Gab, Lyrics Born, and many other Artists. As a part of Lifesavas, Vursatyl has received critical praise in the press, from Rolling Stone to XXL, including receiving the esteemed Chairman's Choice title. Vursatyl is also currently an integral part of Blackalicious' live show and has toured internationally and extensively with them over the past several years.

Vursatyl has just released the first of three solo projects. This initial installment, Crooked Straights, is already being heralded as a "Hip Hop classic" in the tradition of J Dilla, A Tribe Called Quest, and Slum Village. Remixes have been done by Vitamin D, Jake One, and more are currently in the works. DJ Maseo, of De La Soul fame, also did a mix of Crooked Straights, which is just becoming available. With two more full-length albums ready to quickly follow, Vursatyl will be touring internationally as a solo artist, while promoting and performing new material from his current catalog of soulful Hip Hop.
