About Blair Borax

Blair Borax

On the Musical Path

Blair's musical journey is inextricably linked to her yoga path. She began learning how to play guitar in 2015, when her roommate offered her a guitar that he was getting rid of. Living as an AmeriCorps member on a very modest budget, naturally, she asked, "For free?" When he said yes, she thought, "Hmm... I guess I should learn how to play it!" From that moment, it has always felt like she didn't choose music, but music chose her. The practice of playing guitar and singing songs opened up her capacity for authentic communication and creative self-expression. It wasn't until she was most of the way through her 200-hr yoga teacher training in 2016, that she found the courage and vulnerability to write her first song. She played her first show in the spring of 2018, and from there the unfolding continues.

Musical Offerings

Blair Borax is an honest and tender musician, singing sweet songs about birth and death and heartbreak, about waking up and slowing down, about birds and flowers and digging her hands in the dirt. For Blair, making music is a practice of processing her human experience- loving and living and making mistakes. With lyrics rich and raw, a dreamy sound, and "a voice like molasses," Blair's sings songs that move you to the heart of it all. Influenced deeply by her yoga practice and farming experience, Blair Borax sings songs to walk herself back home, and she hopes that they might help you walk yourself home, too.

About Hayley Lynn

Soulful Folk Pop

Hayley Lynn

Hayley Lynn's songwriting has been a quiet but profound pursuit. She draws from experience, and it is that which creates her soundscape. Within her playful banter and the sharpness that the wit of her songwriting provides, there lies a deeply personal look at who Hayley Lynn was, is and who she strives to become.

During a snow storm in Portland, December of 2015, Hayley Lynn started recording her debut EP 'Hypnotize' with producer Riley Smith and bassist John Bruner. The work on the EP continued into spring as she recorded in Studio 12 with Adam Green. Hypnotize' was officially released June of 2016 exploring dark themes shrouded in mysticism.

Hayley Lynn and her band recently added another member, Amy Håkansson, who plays the violin, banjo, guitar and the nyckelharpa. She is currently working on a new record at Bungalow 9 Recording Studio with Danny O' Hanlon as producer, the record will be released in 2017.
