JT Wise Band

Nominated by Pulse Music as Best of Portland 2016. Consistently at the top of the Reverb Nation charts. Audience Testimonials: exciting show, people raved, comparison to Clapton, Betts and Garcia, drawn in from the start, fun show and concert quality sound.
JT Wise is a guitarist from the Northwest. His musical influences read like a Clapton Crossroads Festival with influences from Clapton, Robben Ford, Billy Gibbons, Vince Gill and with Betts and Garcia thrown in as well. He attended the prestigious Musician's Institute in Hollywood, California. He also has been a recording studio owner recording many popular NW bands.

The bands good time music is tight, rhythmic and adventuresome. They have been known to stretch out on a song in the tradition of the great jam bands taking the song where ever it may lead. JT along with his bassist wife Margaret blend rock, blues and americana into their own rollicking sound. Their original tunes have been played on Local Roots Radio and Kink Sunday Night Blues with Steve Pringle. The band also features long time collaborator Jim Stein on rhythm, slide guitars and vocals, and Ken Woodside on drums. They have performed for the Cascade Blues Association and participated in the Journey to Memphis.
