Gram Jam II

Gram Jam II

Shorty and the Mustangs commemorate Gram Parsons' birthday and raise money for The Jeremy Wilson Foundation. This special night of Gram Parson music pulls together an all-star array of special guests playing for a great cause: Lewi Longmire, The Resolectrics, Bret Ervin, Amanda Richards and Steve Moore, Steve Lockwood, Robin Susskind, David Lipkind, Jeff Haigerty, Harley James, Jonathan Trawick, Lindsie Feathers and Rachel Good, as well as featured players Fred E. Stephenson, Kerry Canfield, Jason Montgomery and Timmy Moore.

Gram Parsons lived just 26 years but made an indelible mark on the genre that would come to be known as Americana. He called it Cosmic American Music and his two solo albums and work with the International Submarine Band, The Byrds and Flying Burrito Brothers are his legacy. The music scene of Portland, Oregon draws inspiration from his legacy like few others. Many local bands include his songs in their repertoire as have Shorty and the Mustangs throughout their twenty year history. Join us for a night of unforgettable music and memories!

The Jeremy Wilson Foundation 501(c)3 nonprofit health and services organization is supported by friends, family and fans. The JWF makes it easy to directly assist individual musicians and their families during medical emergencies. The JWF Musicians' Emergency Healthcare Fund is a safety net for musicians and their families when facing debilitating medical crisis. The JWF creates better access to resources and information to help improve the state of musicians' health and healthcare, and, in turn, their careers and financial and overall well-being. Since 2010 the JWF has granted over $325,000.00 in direct assistance to Portland and regional musicians and their families. For more information visit their website at

The location that serves as one of McMenamins favorite neighborhood theater pubs was the locus of great spiritual zeal beginning in the 1890s. That's when the Swedish Evangelical Mission established its church here....

From a church to a theater-pub, the Mission's history ain't exactly saintly. Click here for more info!
