From army barracks, to castles, and seemingly ordinary brew pubs, the Pacific Northwest is full of places where shades of the dead may remain. Join Northwest author, Jeff Davis, as he shares with you some stories of the best haunts in the Pacific Northwest, including places like Thornewood Castle and the Vancouver Barracks. About the Speaker:Jeff Davis was born in Vancouver, Washington and grew up playing in and around the Vancouver Barracks. This led to an interest in the military and history. Late night horror movies led to an interest in ghosts, mythology, and archaeology.Jeff has written, edited, or contributed to over a dozen books on military history, and the paranormal. Some of these books include, Weird Washington, Weird Oregon, A Haunted Tour Guide to the Pacific Northwest, Ghosts, Critters and Sacred Place of Washington and Oregon, Volumes 1 - III, and several others. He has been a guest on Coast to Coast AM, Haunted History, and the Dead Files.
These monthly, free events are open to everyone interested in Oregon and Pacific Northwest history. Co-sponsored by like-minded historical and civic organizations, we bring you experts, scholars, first-person experiencers and historians who expound on topics from Lewis and Clark to shipwrecks, hop growing to women pioneers and far, far beyond. It's like being back in the classroom - except this time you get to settle into comfortable seats and enjoy a drink or two with dinner while you listen and learn.
