Atriarch was formed in 2009 by Lenny Smith and Maxamillion Avila in Portland Oregon. Their first album "Forever The End" was released in 2011 on Seventh Rule. 2012 releases were a split EP with Alaric on 20 buck spin and a full length album "Ritual Of Passing" on Profound Lore. In 2014 they signed with Relapse Records and released "An Unending Pathway". Their fourth album, coming in late-2016 via Relapse Records promises to be even more bleak, hypnotic, and explosive with producer/engineer Billy Anderson (Neurosis, Swans, Melvins) once again on board.

Atriarch delivers a unique brand of sonic darkness, pulling influence from classic death rock and infusing it with their own style of heaviness. They offer a cathartic experience, both on their records and in their live performance. There is an underlining message beneath the ominous and gloomy atmosphere they create. Vocalist Lenny Smith says "That we can connect through the darkness that we feel by being forced to exist in an un-loving and superficial world. That it is important to create a safe environment to express these feelings and find catharsis through this connection. That death is not the end or anything to be feared and that beauty can be found in the darkest of places."

The Blasphemous Collaboration Series

The Blasphemous Collaboration Series

The Blasphemous Collaboration Series was born by tying our beer culture into the 2nd Annual Sabertooth Micro Fest in 2016, embracing the opportunity to bring together the raw energy of rock music with the creation of unique micro brews, creating the perfect partnership.

Keeping that inspiration live year round, Crystal Brewer Drew Phillips utilizes a quarterly opportunity to create a beer specifically inspired by each band that performs in this showcase. The band will often play a part in the brewing process, giving the end result the life it was meant for. This event will shine light on the special space that is Lola's Room in the heart of the Crystal Ballroom, making it an integral piece of the music and beer culture in downtown Portland, Oregon.

Devolver Coffee Stout

We teamed with Portland's purveyors of the sonic occult, Atriarch, for this dark and invigorating brew. We proudly present Devolver Coffee Stout, named after a track on Atriarch's forthcoming release from Relapse Records. Full-bodied with classic Stout flavors of chocolate and toffee, twelve pounds of our McMenamins Kenyan roast coffee imparted rich notes of caramel & nectarine. We hope you join us and Atriarch on April 12th in Lola's Room for the official release and concert!
