About I Like My Sugar with Coffee and Cream

"Style? Profile?" I said. This is a sweet coffee Stout with some cream, or lactose (an unfermentable sugar), on top. Like the name implies, this is first and foremost a beer. The coffee and sweetness from lactose are a second and subtle part of the whole beer arrangement. Cold-brewed, single-origin Ethiopian coffee roasted by McMenamins Roasters was added in the brite tanks to give this Stout an extra kick and provide some lingering berry coffee undertones. Ten different malts were used to bring even more complexity to every sip. Now, kick off your shoes, relax your socks and have a pint.
