About Sippin’ in the Suburbs

Sippin’ in the Suburbs

Step into the past at our Murray & Allen Pub, where historical photographs and original McMenamins artwork decorate the walls. The sun is always shining here; the hand painted sun on the ceiling, that is. Today this favorite gathering space sits close to one of the busiest intersections around, but take a moment to imagine that up until fairly recently this was a sleepy, relatively remote location. The land where the Murray Pub now lies first belonged to the Spencers, an Oregon pioneer family whose story is particularly tragic. But the days are not as dark now, especially when Oak Hills Brewer Dan Black is around, showcasing creative Ales made less than five miles up the road. So get over to Murray & Allen Pub & bring your curiosities. Enjoy this one time offering because when it's gone, it will be no more.

Note: Beers poured at this tasting event qualify for happy hour pricing.

About Flocon de Mais

A 400 year-old Belgian beer style that almost died out is now gaining in popularity again. Flocon De Mais is a Belgian Witbier made with Wheat, 2-Row and Corn Flakes. This tasty brew is lightly-hopped with Ultra Hops and spiced with sweet Spanish orange peel and Grains of Paradise, for added complexity. A Belgian Witbier Yeast was used to complete this ale. This brew is pale in color with a medium-body mouth feel. It's light and drinkable with lots of pleasing, complex flavors for your palate to enjoy.
