About Ringlers Annex

Tiny and terrific!

Our Crystal Hotel is right next door — in the same building, in fact!

The pint-sized, pie-shaped Annex is a window on the world of Downtown Portland’s bustling West Burnside and Harvey Milk streets. Build in 1916 by architect F. Manson White, this Flatiron-style building was once purported to be the smallest commercial building on the West Coast.  It originally opened up as a tire shop and went through many iterations over the years until purchased by McMenamins and reopened as Ringler's Annex in 1996.

Venture down the stairs to the subterranean, speakeasy-esque cellar bar which winds through to Al’s Den, featuring live music and comedy. Escape the street-level hubbub for a handcrafted cocktail, craft beer or glass of Edgefield wine en route to your next destination.

Dine al fresco year-round at our heated sidewalk seating. Indoors or out, Ringlers Annex is a hub for enjoying a creatively crafted beverage.

Ringlers Annex allows pets at our sidewalk seating only.

Menus

The menu features local ingredients, house-baked breads, desserts and pastries from the Crystal Bakery, a specialty cocktail menu and an affordable yet approachable wine list, while a well-trained waitstaff provides a comfortable and welcoming guest experience. No reservations are necessary; stop by for a quick business lunch, a pre-show drink or an evening date night.
