About The Wheel

Menu

“The wheel is turning and you can’t slow down, you can't let go and you can’t hold on,
you can’t go back and you can't stand still…”
- “The Wheel” by the Grateful Dead

Welcome to The Wheel, an ever-spinning natural cycle of activity, ancient metaphor of Fortune and Fate, and celestial calendar marking the seasons. Observe the hub on which it spins, one axis of our many small bars that rely on the good folk who keep it turning. This space is a continuation of our reverence for the low huts, snugs, bothies, huttes, high Alpen shacks, refugios, chalets, sheds, secret lairs, and tiny sanctuaries where people have gathered for centuries to share ideas, fend off darkness, play music, and chew the fat. Surrounded by stained glass and elements of the natural, mystical, and mythical realms that exist in this plane and the next, enjoy a dram or two!
