About Heavy Light

Heavy Light

Heavy Light makes energetic and introspective Indie-psych-rock with similar tones and textures as Local Natives and Grizzly Bear. Their music is driven by complex yet down to earth grooves, and their ambient guitar and synth textures provide support for streams and layers of honest lyrics about our rapidly changing world. This music reminds us how far we've come here on earth, and how far we have yet to go to better harmonize with the earth.

About The Color Study

The Color Study

The Color Study began as a solitary studio project by Scott Oliphant and has since grown into a 7 piece (sometimes more) band translating the sounds, both big and small from studio to stage.

Sonically The Color Study might fall somewhere between the intersection of Spiritualized, Spoon, The Flaming Lips, Pink Floyd and Wilco, where the sounds are heavily textured and expansive, drawing on influence from from Scott's 20 years spent in the Austin music scene as a musician and sound engineer.

The Color Study is currently supporting the recent release of their second album, Future Past Present Tense. Scott is joined by Melissa Atillo (Keys, Vocals), Miguel Mendoza (Horn), Stephen Reinhardt (Guitar), Matt Jackson (Bass), Sean Garvin (Drums) to put on a live show that brings the massive sonic landscapes of the album to life
