Over the years, the Kölsch made at the Old St. Francis Brewery has been a tip of the cap to the Father's that helped build up Old St. Francis School. This year, we changed it up to tip our caps to the Sisters and teachers that walked the halls. Sister Jane was known for her boisterous laughter and the fun that she brought to her classrooms here. Find her profile in the Education Hotel Building to learn more. This beer remains a crisp and clean Kölsch. An earthy hop aroma with an easy balance afforded by the light malt character make this a sipping beer year-round.Special Ingredients: German Kolsch YeastMalts: Best Pilsen, Best Vienna, Best WheatHops: Horizon, Sterling, US GoldingOG: 1.052 TG: 1.008 ABV: 5.60 IBU: 24 SRM: 3
Immigrant Irish Red is a mellow and easy-drinking beer for all to enjoy. This brew is made with the founding priests of Old Saint Francis School in mind. A beer to remind them of the ales they enjoyed back home. Earthy hops blend and balance well with a slightly sweet malt flavor. This beer retains a medium body with a complex flavor that's perfect for sipping.Special Ingredients: Wyeast Irish Ale Yeast Strain #1084Malts: Maris Otter Pale, Melanoidin, Caramel Munich 40, Crystal Rye70/80, Chocolate MaltHops: Cascade, US GoldingOG: 1.051 TG: 1.014 ABV: 4.80 IBU: 26 SRM: 12
The Kaleidoscope became a favorite here at Old St. Francis School a few years ago. It's a very unique and tasty brew. Made with a plethora of Mosaic Hops, this beer has distinctive tropical qualities. You'll find lots of citrus flavor with touches of pineapple and mango, providing a nice blend of aroma and flavor. A mild to medium malt body allows the hops to persist throughout a pint. A tasty collage of an IPA is among us and it paints your tongue with a hoppy mosaic of flavor!Malts: Pale, Pilsen, Vienna, Franco Belges CaraVienna 20Hops: Mosaic, Crystal\OG: 1.064 TG: 1.011 ABV: 6.80 IBU: 68 SRM: 5
