For Afterthoughts, music is not only a family affair but also a lifelong pursuit of study. It's comprised of Sara Kushner, a Portland multi-instrumentalist and owner of Keys to Life Music School, Dylan Campbell a guitarist, singer, composer, and drummer and her 10 year old daughter, Leora.

Afterthoughts' performance centers around creating a happy, relaxed mood for their audience with upbeat and beautiful music. The duo perform music by rock bands that people know and like but they also surprise their audience with deep cuts by those same bands. Their act contains piano, guitar, harmonies, and a healthy dose of humor.
