About Roadhouse Refreshments

Here at Cornelius Pass Roadhouse, you'll find one of McMenamins' top producing Breweries, and the modern day Imbrie Hall Pub that was built from the timbers of Portland's historic Henry Weinhard's Brewery. Initially housed in the old Roadhouse, this small Hillsboro Brewery shared space with the restaurant kitchen, to the extent that they shared the same hood fan as the burger grill. It also featured old school open fermenters, which are problematic in a kitchen for obvious reasons. A decade later, the Roadhouse Brewery got its own decidedly upscale quarters. This is where Brewers Brady Romtvedt & Chris Oslin reside, putting their passion to work as they carefully craft each unique brew. You'll be glad you brought your curiosities as they have decades of experience that have lent stories they're willing to share with you. Enjoy these one time offerings because when they're gone, they will be no more.

This event is an Official Limited Edition Beer Tasting! You can obtain an experience stamp, getting you one step closer to a $20 gift card, if you've purchased the Passport Insert that allows for additional experience stamps.

The Panichkul Herbal Pilsner from Thompson Brewery
On occasion, we sit in the depth of our winters, searching for the inspiration of Spring. Blended over the body of a Lagered Pilsner, The Panichkul features fresh notes of ginger root and lemongrass. The palate is greeted by the snap of ginger, then moves onto crisp herbal notes. You won't find many complex notes playing on the tongue, as this is a Pilsner afterall. Rather, you'll find a crisp herbal beer. Delight in the sneak peek of springtime flavors.

Hard Days Red from Crystal Brewery
Everyone who puts in a full days work deserves a "Hard Days Red". The Grand Lodge property in Forest Grove is opening a new hotel wing and this classic American Red Ale was brewed as a tribute to the hard work put in by all involved in the contruction. Dry-hopped with more than a pound per barrel of Falconers Flight blend, "Hard Days Red" offers a perfect balance of premium barley and classic Northwest Hops.

Whiskey Peach IPA from Cornelius Pass Roadhouse Brewery
We celebrated the latest bottling of Billy Whiskey by taking freshly emptied barrels and filling them with a dry-hopped IPA and eighty four pounds of peach puree. Sweet Whiskey and ripe peach are present in the nose of this hazy brew. Sip and revel in the three way dance of fruit, wood and hops. Finally, savor the long, refreshingly bitter finish that begs another taste.
