The trip to Thompson Brewery & Public House is just that. It remains the longest-running post-Prohibition brewpub in Salem and Head Brewer Jen Kent makes the libations the regulars live for. There is no particular style she enjoys making most; her favorite recipe is a new recipe. She adores the art and spirit involved in brewing. So head over to pick her brain and enjoy the creative fruits of her labor. Enjoy this one time offering because when it's gone, it will be no more.Note: Beers poured at this tasting event qualify for happy hour pricing. This event is an Official Limited Edition Beer Tasting! You can obtain an experience stamp, getting you one step closer to a $20 gift card, if you've purchased the Passport Insert that allows for additional experience stamps.
A Beer Called Belle FilleSometimes a beer needs a mate. One
that goes hand in hand with the original but with a twist. Are you a fan
of A Beer Called Death? Meet his lady, A Beer Called Bell Fille. She's more
complex, but quiet. Instead of having forward coffee notes like her mate,
hers are subdued. You will find soft hints of tequilla throughout all sensory
factors. There will start to be a lingering spice on the tongue brought to you
by jalapeno and serrano peppers. Silky tones of coca nibs and vanilla bean play
over the warm notes of the standing base of Imperial stout. Take your time. Let
her warm up to really share her story of what she tastes like.
