About Yur Daddy

Portland, Oregon based Yür Daddy was founded by Yarley Nystrom and Julian Munske in early 2009. Cheap whiskey and endless pints fueled the creative process until the music could no longer be harnessed by just two musicians. After creating a strong core of original music, Yür Daddy added bass guitar master Sky Stewart and local drum legend Rydell Dorton to hold down the rhythm.

Constantly evolving, the band has drawn from an orgy of creative influences over the years including funk, folk and reggae but, stylistically, they are a rock band at heart. This eclectic mash up moves crowds and is fun and full of energy leading Yür Daddy to be described as "Somewhere between Ron Jeremy and Mr. T."

Rydell Dortón-

Drums, Percussion

Well trained and disciplined in the art of drumming, Rydell "Armando, Riddle" Dortón has been around music from a young age and now teaches high schoolers how to behave and play music. When he is not rocking with Yür Daddy he spends his time planning his eventual and inevitable world domination.

Julian "Jayman" Munske-

Lead Guitar, Vocals, Mandolin

Formerly a classical violinist Julian taught himself the martial art of rock. With rigid German tactics and southern soul, his "Tongue-punching" licks lead the tunes with that certain flavor that every band needs. In other words, he's got what you crave.

Yarley "Swedish" Nystrom

Lead Vocals, Guitar

Powerhouse vocals and reliable rhythm from Colorado native are a defining character to Yür Daddy's seductive nature. Little is known of Yarley's elusive Swedish side but one thing is for sure, you wont forget his baby-makin onstage dominance.

Sky "SkyElzebub" Stewart

Bass Guitar, Vocals

Mostly a Funk man, his influences are all over the place. Rock, Blues, Punk, Blue Grass, Jazz he is able to get down with anybody. Born in the frontseat of a Cadillac and raised in the back room of a whiskey shanty Sky was born to play music. After joing a circus in Northern France at the age of 10 and getting lost in the Himalayan Mountains at 19, Sky is now a small business owner and visual artist. He has seen some Sh*t.
