About Timeshare

Timeshare

Timeshare seeks to live somewhere between cocktail hour and the dancefloor. That's perhaps the simplest way to describe left-of-center pop hooks and sunny harmonies that define the band (formerly The BGP). Recalling the lyrical romanticism of the yacht rock era mixed with modern synthetic beat tones, Timeshare inhabits the musical space of dance-y pop acts like The 1975 and Harry Styles. Says Krister Bjornson Axel of Chillfiltr: "[The band's] mix of upbeat vibes and feel-good melodies always comes as the welcome addition to a busy day."

A brotherhood hailing from the ‘Fair town' of Puyallup, WA, Timeshare is lead by 2 frontmen - Brandon Ghorley and Phinisey, and features guitarist Philip Steven Hopper. A loyal regional following has grown as a result of the band's willingness to play literally anywhere, from Seattle, to LA, to Denver, to Boise, to Portland, and everywhere in between.

Since 2020, 7 new singles have been released including '20 Ways' (featured in a GoogleNest ad) and 'Gravity' (debuted at Stone Family Field Trip and added by several Submithub playlists).

The band recently opened for Allen Stone and Teddy Swims, and has previously opened for Andy Grammar and Sir Mix A Lot. Fall college dates are planned for Spring of 2023, as well as a headline performance August 4th at McMenamin's Spanish Ballroom.

About Alec Shaw

Alec Shaw

Alec Shaw is a singer/songwriter and producer raised in the foothills of the cascades in Washington State, garnering attention as an artist whose sound has developed into a soulful combination of two large worlds of musical influence rooted in gospel and Appalachian folk. Vocally, he bridges a gap between Otis Redding and Jeff Buckley with a knack for engaging and ethereal arrangements. Quantity Alec's fourth studio album Features Alec's most creative and dramatic work yet. Released in 2022 Quantity along with a live video version of the single "Spinning" landed Alec and his band an in studio taping with KEXP that truly qualified Alec as a seasoned performer and artist worth experiencing fully. Quantity was co-produced with Producer Andy Park (Mac Miller, Dave Mathews, Deep Sea Diver). Alec's dad, a gospel musician, gave him a guitar at age 11. Flash forward to high school Alec pieced together a band through the Seattle Craigslist page. Hundreds of songs on a handheld recorder was the product of procrastinating on school work that eventually became a demo-esqu, but musically sophisticated debut album "Car Town" securing Alec and his band their first gig at Neumos, Seattle playing for the Seattle Children's Hospital benefit concert "Love Seattle" which first launched Alec at age 17 into the Seattle underground scene as a new act to watch. In 2017, Alec's shows promoting his second album "Uhh Oh And The Oh Wells" caught the attention of local producers and industry giving him the foothold to record and shape his third album "Thinking Place" featuring a more introspective, ethereal and focused track list. The album began developing a sound that was becoming uniquely his, combining equally soulful and folky vocals soaring above swimming instrumentation. This album, coupled with a live version of the single "Fools Gold" featuring a gospel choir and video performance, shined more light on Alec in the national eye of the music industry, garnering Major Label interest and praise from KEXP's Hall of Fame DJ Marco Collins naming him in his top 3 "PNW artist he would sign immediately" on an interview with American Songwriter. During the 2020 pandemic in an effort to stay inspired, Alec widened his creative reach to producing and co-writing with other artists such as Thunderstorm Artis and Zan Fiskum in addition to being a regular session guitarist for artists such as musician and actor Hayley Sales (Deadpool 2, Corrective Measures) and many other Seattle based projects. Briefly being signed to rapper Common's Artists development experiment "Stardust Kids", Trying American Idol only to leave halfway through the season with Covid, and being the first artist in history to be featured as an Augmented reality NFT music video with his single "Nobody But You" made 2020 an even stranger year than it already was, But all this exploration helped support the creation of his latest release "Quantity".
